ACTEON Implant Protect™ Kit

The Implant Protect™ Kit is a crucial prophylactic and therapeutic solution for managing peri-implant diseases. Because standard stainless steel scaling tips are harder than the titanium used in dental implants, they can cause microscopic scratches that act as breeding grounds for bacterial biofilms. This kit solves that problem by using perfectly matched materials and precise ultrasonic frequencies to safely debride the implant and its prosthetic components.

Commercially Pure Titanium (CP-Ti) Construction: The tips are manufactured from pure titanium (often Grade 4), which possesses a hardness equal to or slightly lower than the implant fixture itself. This ensures that the instrument yields to the implant, allowing for aggressive calculus and biofilm removal without grooving, scratching, or altering the critical surface topography of the implant neck and threads.

Comprehensive Anatomical Range: The kit includes a highly specialized array of tips (typically IP1, IP2L, IP2R, IP3L, and IP3R) uniquely shaped to navigate the complex geometry of implants. From wide abutment surfaces to deep, narrow threads and difficult-to-reach proximal spaces, the tips provide total 360-degree access around the fixture.

This allows for optimal cavitation and acoustic microstreaming to flush out bacteria from deep periodontal pockets without generating excessive heat that could damage osseointegrated bone.
